Gemma McVeigh

I am now in the early years of my career, as a PE teacher and play hockey for the premiership side Ulster Elks. I look upon my sporting abilities as a gift from God. It’s a great thrill to me that I can worship God through sport; in my attitude to training and games and by positively reacting to playing situations, other players and the umpires.

I know that God’s love for me is never ending, and He will never leave me in spite of my failing. He has such an amazing love for everyone that He let His own Son die so that we could be with Him forever. Sometimes such a love is hard to imagine, but God’s love is the strongest and the most amazing love to have in your life.
