Ballydown Presbyterian Church exists to:

Worship God and glorify His name.

Experience Fellowship as God's people, united in a common faith in Christ as Saviour and Lord and committed to one another in practical love.

Develop Discipleship as we grow together as disciples of Christ through worship, Bible study, prayer and mutual encouragement and support.

Express our faith in Service using the gifts and abilities God has given each of us to serve his purposes both in the Church and in the wider world.

Proclaim the good news of the Gospel through word and life so that men, women, young people  and children are drawn into a personal faith in Jesus.

Church Membership

We welcome anyone who wishes to worship and share in fellowship with us and we will offer pastoral care and spiritual support and instruction to all who seek it.

Church membership is open to anyone who has personal faith in Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord, who has been baptized (either as an infant or adult) and has been received by the Kirk Session as a communicant member.

Such members, where they make financial contributions to the Church by any means set out in the Code of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland (Par.175) are qualified to be involved in decision making where a vote by members is required. (Such members are also qualified to be considered for election to Kirk Session, who are responsible for the Spiritual well being of the congregation and the Church Committee who tend to the temporal affairs of the congregation)
